There are some shows which make the watchers lust after the careers of the characters. Multiple films and TV shows have focused on the area of journalism, and here is a few of the most famous female journalists shown on TV.

Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and The City)

Let’s start with one of the best known and most admired – Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), the sex columnist from The New York Star. Carrie narrates the show through writing her weekly column based on the experiences of her and her friends Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte. She later begins freelance work for Vogue, and turns some of her columns into a book. A film of Sex and the City was made in 2008 after the six-series TV show finished. A second film covering Carrie’s life is to be released this year. In 2009, the Guardian named Carrie as an ‘icon of the decade’.
