Woodlands School Kent

What a wonderful place we have right in the middle of our community. Many people know that it exists it seems, except for me, until recently. After visiting the library in my home town of Swanley, in Kent, South East England, I experienced firsthand what a great place a library actually is. Admittedly, I have not been to a library for many years, since I left secondary school and like many people, I thought the library was a quiet, uninteresting place, for swotting students and clever bookworms only. Not much goes on in a place like that surely? Ok, so I thought as it is full of books, it must be boring.

But there is more to your library than you give it credit.

The library is actually a hive of activity and a great place for the community to meet, learn new things and have the use of many facilities, all for free! Popularity is growing and as I found out, many people utilise its accessible and helpful service on a daily basis.

What Else is Available at the Library?

The library has many other services on offer beside book-lending. There is the internet service – the whole world accessible at the touch of a button. People can catch up with friends and family through e-mail or social networks. They can also use all the other computer facilities for document arranging, CV writing or letter formatting, making the Swanley Library an important lifeline for job seekers.
